CBT-Informed Coaching

Video call sessions to help you work through creative blocks.

Having worked with fellow creative practitioners, I’ve felt the weight of insight turning into overthinking. How self-awareness can sometimes get in the way of action.

My background in Behavioral Sciences and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed coaching helps me bridge this gap. Letting your mind respect the emotional reality of creative work can feel like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be.

The Guiding Principles

Clarify Goals

Life happens. Ambitions feel crowded. Be more insightful and realistic about your goals.

Separate Fear from Truth

Automatic thoughts can alter the way we perceive reality. Identify your thoughts and manage them better.

Emotional Regulation

Understand how you can manage difficult feelings like anxiety, frustration, envy, and everything in between.

Build Self-Trust

Meaningful decisions are made out of clarity, not urgency. Understand yourself better so you can make confident decisions.

How is this different from therapy?

CBT-informed coaching isn’t therapy, since we focus on present challenges and future goals. There’s no diagnosis here. No interpretations or therapeutic expeditions to uncover your past to help heal your emotional wounds.

Our sessions will focus on your agency, and I will bring my tools, perspective, and reflections. Together, we will turn your awareness into small, repeatable behaviors that move you forward.

My coaching is grounded in a foundation of human behavior and design.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human-Centred Design, where I studied how people think, decide, and interact with the systems around them. I later completed a Master’s degree in Behavioral Science, deepening my understanding of cognitive patterns, decision-making, and emotional processes.

This academic training allows me to approach challenges with both psychological insight and practical structure. My work is CBT-informed, guided by foundational texts such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy: Basics and Beyond by Dr. Judith Beck, and shaped by broader perspectives, including attachment theory, developmental psychology, and existential frameworks such as logotherapy.

Alongside my academic training, I have written over 1500 published articles analyzing video games, narrative design, and player psychology. This body of work sharpened my ability to identify patterns in identity, motivation, and meaning-making. My academic research has also explored parasocial relationships, the one-sided emotional bonds people form with media figures. It further deepened my understanding of attachment, projection, and emotional investment.
